Realization
As the 2016 elections grows closer, Hillary Clinton, the democratic nominee, continues
to be attacked for her past failures, and the present ways that she runs her campaign. In the
editorial, Hillary Clinton for President” by the New York Times, the author states that Hillary
Clinton former secretary of state is more than qualified to be the next president while trump has
no poltical experience. the author believes that Hillary Clinton, facing Donald trump to see who
will be the next president of the United States, is talking about why she is more fit to serve and
that Donald Trump is a person unfit to serve. Also highlighting some of Hillary Clintons
mistakes, Mrs. Clinton’s occasional missteps, combined with attacks on her trustworthiness,
have distorted perceptions of her character. However, she has made mistakes. While she has miss
stepped, she is still fit to serve. Often times people make mistakes. In my life I have made
mistakes and have done things that I was not supposed to. When I was younger, for example, I
decided to build a slip-n-slide off of the roof of my house. While this was a bad idea, it does not
mean I should be scrutinized for the rest of my life and never be able to do anything. much like
Hillary Clinton is treated regarding some of her questionable decision’s. Sometimes people do
not realize the negative consequences of a decisions until after it is made.
I remember that summer like it was yesterday. My brother and I were finally old enough
to stay home alone while my parents worked. We felt as though we had the freedom to do
anything we wanted. We would sleep until noon every day and not have a single care in the
world. After the initial excitement wore off, we realized that there were only so many episodes of
SpongeBob we could watch before getting bored, so we decided we needed to do something
different. We put our minds together and tried to come up with a plan. We thought and thought
until finally it dawned upon us that we should make a slip-n-slide off of our roof to graciously
land in our small inflatable pool. Living back in the woods with no neighbors, it was a fool proof
idea. Also, with our parents working until five o’clock, we knew we would have plenty of time
to enjoy our slide. Though my brother was reluctant at first, I assured him that it would be okay.
We began listing out what we needed, a large roll of plastic that we can put on the roof so
we can slide rocks to hold that sheet of plastic down or else it would fly away, and find a way to
get our hose onto the roof. By this time our parents had gotten home and we had to stop
production for the day. But as soon as they left the next morning we would be at it again, that
night I could barely sleep tossing and turning dreaming about how much fun it would be to slide
into our pool from 20 foot in the air. The next morning, I listened as my parents walked out the
door and start their cars and drive out of the drive way. I bolt into my brother room get him up
and after I wake him up I call my friend Dylan from down the street and told him our plan. With
