NAME: Farida Suheil Naja.
A RATIONALE
Growing up in a family of ten, education was the most important aspect for my
parents. I being the youngest made it harder for me to impress my parents. Having a
sister who made her first million at the age of 17 got me inspired to go into the financial
word just like she did. The finance world wasn’t always my dream but I graduated high
school at the age of 15 and found it very hard to know what I wanted to do in my life.
The pressure and stress of figuring out what you want to do for the rest of your life at that
age was unbelievable. My mothers made me wait a year before I started university in
order to experience and understand a little bit of life. She didn’t want me picking a major
I would regret later on in life.
Registering to Aust, I thought my major was set. I had chosen the one major I knew I
would love for the rest of my life. I choose to be a lawyer. I had it all planned out, one
year freshman, five years law school and a one year masters. I would be a 23 year old
graduate with masters in law. Unfortunately for me, Aust didn’t have law. I went in
search for my “dream major” in other universities but all came to a dead end. It was
