Topic: Discrimination towards IP
Despite having abundance of natural resources that helps them to continue living in happy
and peaceful life. Together with nature indigenous people (IPs) are the one who keeps the natural
resources to be stable. However, they have a hard time when they were in contact with other
people. According to the study of the United Nations Human Rights there are almost 370 million
individuals that are indigenous person and about 15% of the population are the world’s poorest
people those are the indigenous people living in the planet. The indigenous people in the
Philippines are called aeta, igorot, badjao etc., and many people who lives in the city that never
experience the life of those indigenous people discriminates like they do not belong to the city.
Majority of indigenous people experiencing discrimination by those people who does not
know what they are doing for living, due to the fact that indigenous people lived far from the
civilization in other words they do not have modern technologies to use in their everyday life.
