Written Assignment: Race
In this assignment I will be discussing Suicide in the Native American culture. Suicide is
a very common lead of death in the U.S. In Native American cultures, they don’t talk about it.
They’re not open to conversations, according to Sari Horowitz, who wrote and published an
article about suicide in the culture. This cause of death is growing every day, even more than
three times the national average, and up to 10 times on some reservations (Horwitz, 2015). I
think we should discuss this topic more and bring more awareness to it, especially in this culture.
