QuickBooks Project Part 1 Instructions – ACC2310 2020 Fall
This assignment requires you to complete the following steps – do not skip a thing!
1. Create a company using an accounting software package – QuickBooks Online – ensure
that you sign up for the online version only.
2. As instructed in class you are to start this assignment by signing up for QuickBooks –
Online Version. Sign-up instructions are on our Brightspace Site, under the Content tab.
Please note it could take up to more than three business days to get connected SO DO
NOT wait until the last minute.
3. After registering for the software, you will receive an email confirmation from Intuit (in
3 business days or more). Follow the link provided and create a QuickBooks
Online account. You must complete all the boxes – yep all of them sadly and they
ask for a lot of information.
4. You will then need to create a company name and whether or not you are transferring
data from QuickBooks Desktop version (select no). Your company name should be
your last name followed by the word Company. For example, if you are Smith, your
company’s name is The Smith Company. If you are asked for the type of company –
