Country Analysis: Qatar
Qatar is one of the most interesting countries in the world. As of last July, Qatar had a
population of 2, 194,817. Over 96% of the population is under the age of 55 (CIA), this shows
how the life expectancy in Qatar is very young. The population is growing, but there are many
more men in the society than women. This is very noticeable when looking at the population
pyramid. From the 20 range to the 55 range, the men outnumber the women at a rate of almost
4 to 1. This makes Qatar a unique society because there are almost four times more men than
there are women. Most women in this society will have at least two kids.
