Public relations are how a company or person acclimates to their audience or environment.

In the field of public relations, the term “spin” refers to trying to make a negative situation
look favorable. One of the dangers of a public relations campaign crafted for an adverse
situation is that it may be perceived as a way to “spin the truth” about what happened
(Seitel, 2011).
Organization’s mission and purpose
Feed the Children is a faith-based non-profit charity that has the goal of ending childhood
hunger. Feed the Children was established in 1979 and is located in Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma. Chief Executive Officer, Kevin Hagan joined the company in June of 2012
(Feed the Children, 2015). Feed the Children has 2014 revenue of $454 million and is
rated as the 24th largest charity in the United States (Forbes, 2014). Recently, Feed the
Children’s Jonathan Webb lobbied the US government’s Supplemental Nutrition
Assistance Program to help fund nonprofits that work together to end hunger (Gonzalez,
