This course was formerly titled “Foundations of Contemporary Psychology.” Students who took “PSY 100”
under that title may not repeat it except for grade improvement.
Course Description
An introduction both to basic principles and recent formulations in psychology. Topics include the central
psychological processes of attending, perceiving, learning, thinking, remembering, and study of social
behavior, and the development and organization of personality.
This class satisfies the General Education requirements in the Social Science Knowledge area.
