The purpose of this assignment is to use the process of writing reading and research to

address I understand writing essay process by creating an annotated bibliography with sources of

research specific to questions surrounding my discourse community. With the recent proposed

budget president Trump. Potential cuts to Big Environmental causes specifically with the

EPA. This greatly affects my discourse community as clean water action deals with legislation

that is supported by the EPA. As we know it drinking water around the world to be

contaminated. But specifically here in the United States. We have been with a few Water Crisis

this the big one being Flint Michigan. Things like what contamination that we saw in the 90s is

still a problem in some places and with the defunding of the EPA This will no doubt backtrack

all the work that has been done in order to continue to ensure Safe Drinking Water for everybody

in the United States and hopefully one day the entire world. We will discuss sources of

contaminated drinking water and what environmental things can be done in order to ensure safe

drinking water.

The author of the article mainly deals with fracking and the disposal of water that is used

to inject into the Earth in order to drill. The article talks about a pipeline that spilled over a

million gallons of wastewater into a ravine that was near a Fort Berthold Indian Reservation

which then spilled across the land killing a lot of the Agriculture and vegetation near the

Missouri River. It also raised concern contaminating the main drinking reservoir for this Indian

Reservation. As in this case it did not but it brings the fact that other accidental or even illegal

disposal of this Wastewater could potentially be in drinking water used by the reservation and in

similar situations like this around the country.

This article is very useful for my research paper as it gives me an example of what could

happen if the drinking water and some of the causes that are overlooked. The author represents

the side of concern for the work done due to fracking the damage that it also causes. The authors

purpose was to create more awareness using fact and studies to prove the negative irrepealably

effects that fracking is causing.
