Prolegmena
In part four of the prolegomena, “The General Question of the Prolegomena: Is Metaphysics at
all Possible, Kant argues his point of view. Immanuel Kant puts an argument to help people understand
experiences and how experiences help with understanding how and where we get our knowledge. In
part four of the prolegomena, Kant explains that metaphysics deals with events that are beyond realm.
Kant is inspired by Hume’s thoughts.
Kant explains that experiences are made up of appearances. In order to have an experience your
senses must be present to help you build upon these experiences. Experiences help people relate and
connect to their surroundings and the world in general. Kant goes on to explain that knowledge is very
important to humans yet this still stays a challenge for the world. In this part of the article Kant goes on
to stress the real question, “Is Metaphysics at all possible?” Kant lets is be known that this question is
not easy and people really need to think about the question that is being asked. Kant suggests that a
person understand and establish nature of reason.
