<PROJECT 3S: SWEET SOE SUITE>
EX E C U T IV E SUM M A RY
The project 3S intends to develop and deploy a Standard Operating Environment (SOE)
for all users in Curtin University’s Bentley campus to drive greater efficiency in academic
services and to improve the quality of helpdesk support at reduced cost. Project 3S also
enhance the in-campus internet security by preventing illegal internet activities and
protecting against malware and viruses. Project 3S also constantly maintains and
upgrades its compatibility to keep up with the current technology.

The benefit of this project aligns with Curtin University’s mission statement, which is “to
commit to innovation and excellence in teaching and research, for the benefit of our
students and the wider community”. Project 3S will provide the fundamental
infrastructure to do so. SOE is a proven effective methodology adopted by most
multinational enterprises and top universities. Curtin is recommended to follow the lead
and provide convenience and benefits to the students and faculties at high priority.
