Module 8 finial project IT Infrastructure Plan

Thank you for hiring my company Your Best IT Solutions and Support Inc. This is a plan

to implement a six-month plan to set up computers for students and faculty to use on a day-to–

day operation. In addition, the computers will be available to students who cannot afford to

purchase a computer also to do research and write papers there are going to be four phases. The

computers will be placed in the student lounge and in the library. I have a lot of experience in

setting up IT Infrastructure. My company has done business with several fortune five hundred

corporations such as Oracle, Nestle, Trustmark Companies, and Brooks Rehabilitation. I started

this company twenty-five years ago and have built it to be a very successful company.

IT Infrastructure Plan

In phase one my plan is to purchase several computers custom made for the University.

The computers will be Workstation Laptops Lenovo ThinkPad’s P50 they will be running

windows 10 64 bit with an Intel Core i5-6300U Processor and 4GB of ram with no optical drives

and a solid-state drive for the operating system. There will be a storage server. Students will have

to supply their own storage devices if they do not want to store the data on the server the laptops

will be permanently mounted to the desk to prevent the students from moving the laptops off the

desks. The reason laptops are going to be used instead of desktops laptops do not require as

much space, as desktops require.

The next phases of the plan the new campus will be set up with a wired and wireless

network and it will cover the entire campus. Here are the Specifications for the wireless Access
