Product Development at Dell Computer Corporation
Dell Computer Corporation was founded in 1983 by Michael Dell, a college
freshman at the University of Texas, Austin. He began selling computers out of his dorm
room and made enough money to where he decided to dropout and pursue his business.
Since the beginning, he has stressed customer support and service and that is still a
strength of Dell. Dell maintained its presence as it kept up with the new technologies of
computers as they transformed from the large devices to the more portable machines that
they were becoming. Although their products were good quality and reliable for the
customers, there were still problems that could be enhanced.
