The North America Free Trade Agreement also known as the NAFTA Is an agreement to eliminate
most trade barriers between Canada, The United States, and Mexico. In this agreement one country
suffered the most. I would say the country that suffered the most out of this is Mexico because the corn
imports drove farmer’s prices down. According to the New York Times around two million farmers had to
leave their farmers, and twenty million Mexicans had to live with no access to basic food or water. Children
suffered from malnutrition. (Caelsen, 2013) I believe Mexico suffered the worst, but the United States
suffered as well because Mexicans had to come to the United States it find work. This caused Americans
to lose jobs and the unemployment rate to rise. The group of workers that would most likely be affected
by this agreement would be the workers in poverty because people in poverty tend to not have a lot in
