Pride and Prejudice (and Zombies) a Hybrid Success
When one would think of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, they wouldn’t think of it as
a horror film. Pride and Prejudice is a satire which focuses on exploiting the vices of other
characters such as Mr. Collins’ awkwardness, or just opinions on social class and how the
structure works. The story completely changes when an adaptation such as Pride and Prejudice
and Zombies is introduced with a whole new genre: Zombie horror. Certain aspects of the novel
