-she’s involved in the International Center for Sustainable Development where Our mission is to apply sustainable
principles to development projects around the world in order to impact world development through practical projects
that meet local needs and that are: community focused, environmentally friendly, financially healthy, and replicable.
– has traveled to areas of Hurricane Katrina victims and became a part of the Operation Fresh Start that is designed
to empower individuals and communities as they recover from hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, and other natural
disasters by providing resources and tools that can help rebuild communities, businesses, and homes using
sustainable principles and technologies
-visited Dartmouth College in New Hampshire as well as several high schools within the area, where she worked with
the educators and discovered the amount of time wasted through county testing. She joined the American
Association of School Administrators (AASA) to improve the condition of the youth and children by connecting
schools and communities, and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of school teachers.
visited Iowa State University; Another education organization is “Learning Forward.” Learning Forward is the largest
not–for-profit education association focused solely on the issues of school improvement and professional
development where the goal is to engage every educator in effective professional learning every day so every
student achieves.
-Erica feels that we should be less involved in foreign affairs and become more concerned of domestic issues. She
became involved with the Foreign Policy Association that informs the public about issues currently facing nations
abroad.
