President Barack Obama decided to address a back to school speech to the students of
America. His take home point from the speech was, each student has something to offer
and ultimately it is upon each student to discover it. However there is some controversy
over the speech, many Republicans are opposed to President Obama speaking directly to
students. As a result many states are banning the speech or leaving it upon particular
schools and individual parents to decide whether or not they want the students/kids to view
the speech.
Several Republicans throughout America are angry and concern about President Obama’s
back to school address. The Republicans cannot comprehend why President Obama’s
Administration wants students across United States to watch Obama’s Speech on
importance of staying in school and working hard to succeed. Many Republicans are fired
up calling the speech a way to impose “politics agenda on children and are overstepping
the boundaries of federal involvement in schools.”
Several districts in states such as Texas, Illinois, Wisconsin and Virginia have gone as far
as completely ban the speech and other districts have left the decision upon individual
schools to decide, while others are letting individual teachers choose. A number of parents
