If I could invest on one of the followings – planting forests, buidling zoos and researching about

biodiversity, the best choice for me is planting forests. The reasons are:

Firstly, planting trees has a lot of advantages. We often plant trees to provide shade and beatify our

landscapes. Trees make life better. It has shown that spending time among trees and green spaces reduces

the amount of stress that we carry anourng with us in our daliy lives. Secondly, trees also can reduce the

urban island effect. Finally, trees provide food, protection and homes for many birds and mammals forest

products and ecosystem services such as widlife protection and soild.

2/ You are going to recommend a university for your cousin to study. Among a university in USA, a

university in Japan and a university in Vietnam, which one do you recommend? Why?

Among university in USA, a university in Japan and a univeristy in Virtnam, I am going to recommend

a university in Vietnam for my cousin to study. Because

• Vietnam is extremely peaceful and quite happy country. Therefore, If my cousin studying in

Vietnam will be very secure.

• Studying in Vietnam help my cousin have a chance to close to his family, can visit and take care

for each other and can come back homw whenever he wants

• Studying in Vietnam is quite cheap, even if you choose to study at international universities, the

cost of accommondation and travel is stll cheaper than studying abroad

3/ You are going to buy a book for your little brother as a present. Among the following kinds of book:

a comic book, a fairy tale and a scientific book, which one might be your best choice? Why?

I am going to buy a comic book for my little brother as a present. Because comic book is so interesting.

Comic books may help my little brother develop the reading skills required to comprehend texts with

higher levels of difficulty. Moreover, omic books actually change the ways in which our brains funtion

and the ways in which we think.

4/ You are looking for a place to live in Hanoi. Among a small house in the city centre, a flat near your

university/ a company and a big house in the countryside, which one would be your best choice? Why?

I am looking for a place to live in Hanoi. Among a small house in the city centre, a flat near my university/

a company and a big house in the countryside, the best choice for me is a big house in the countryside.

Because:

• Living in a countryside can bring me a fresh environment. The clear air and there are lots of trees,

rivers, and rice fields. Honestly, I really enjoy the clean and fresh air in the early morning.

• Living in a big house in the countryside have more space to live. The streets are emptier and stores

are less crowed.

• Living in the coutrnyside is cheaper than in the city centre. Because people in country have lower

income and don’t hae the habit pf spending a lot of money.

• Without traffic and noise, I will find a better life in a rural area. A quieted life can reduce my stress

levels, making me more at peace and relaxed.

5/ You are going to take a foreign friend to a festival. Which one might be your best choice: Mid-Autumn

festival, Hung King temple festival or Lim festival? Why?

Mid-Autumn festival is one of the most pivotal traditional holidays in Vietnam. Honestly, it is also the

unique character. Aid-Autmn festival shows many tradional cultural values of Vietnam. In that holiday,

many people have a tendency to buy moon cakes which are a popular traditional Vietnamese food. They

are made of powder, peanut, green bean and egg. Moon cakes illustrates happiness, wealth and longevity,

so we can use as gifts.

6/ You are going to buy a CD as a present for your parents on their birthday. Among a rock CD, a rap

CD and a folk music CD, which one is your best choice? Why?

Among a rock CD, a rap CD and a folk music CD, the best choice I enjoy is a folk music CD as a present

for my parents on their birthday. Folk music known as traditional music of each country. These are soft

melody, romantic words. My parant especially loves melodies of Tuong, Cheo, Cai luong, Hue folk

songs. Folk music has gentle melody and elegant words. It extremely suitable for my parants’ age.

7/ As a member of a Green organization, which one do you think is the most practical to protect the

environment: going to school by bike, using paper package and planting more trees. Why?

As a member of a Green organization, the most practival to protect the environment is planting more

trees. As all you know, trees improve our air quality harmful dust and pollutants such as ozone, carbon

monoxide and sulfur doixide from the air we breathe. Tree0lined streets have a traffic calming effect

traffic moves more slowly and safely. Last but not least, the value of a well landscaped home with mature

healthy trees can be as much as 10% higher than a similar home with no or little landscaping.

8/ As a member of a Green organization, which one do you think is the most practical to protect the

Some people believe that there are a lot of comlaints about Vietnamese restaurant, from my opinion, I

partly agree with this ideal. In recent years, the restaurant business in Vietnam has grown in both scale

and quality. The first thing to mention is the complaints about the unprofessional service style. For

instance, some restaurant let customers wait too long, waiters don’t care about customer needs. Secondly,

food quality and safety issues are not secured. Guests see worms or hair or strange things in the dish.

Generally, restaurants in Vietnam have many aspects that have no stisfied the majority of customer. But

they have tried so much to have a better service.

1. Which are most popular in your country: fast food restaurants or traditional ones?

I think fast food restaurants are popular for someone want to save time in my country. Because they are

“fast” and you can usually find one nearby. Traditional restaurants are more popular for special occasions

or going out for lunch or dinner at the weekend when people have more time to enjoy the food.

2. Some people say that food in an expensive restaurant is always better than that in a cheap one –

would you agree?

No, I would not agree with this point. Generally, espensive restaurants habe better meals, a better

environments and better services. From my viewpoint, I can say that I have many times enjoyed my

dinner in a cheaper restaurant with nice experiences.

2/ “There are many changes of shopping over the last decade”

After finishing your speech, answer the following questions:

Retail has altered dramatically. Let’s take a look at some of the forces driving the customer buying

experience. Many individuals are affected by these changes, including mall owners, developers, retail

owners, and customers. Indoor malls frequently have anchor stores and lesser businesses on numerous

stories, as well as a food court. Malls have included a variety of different entertainment features into the

retail experience throughout the years. They were popular with families, teens, and even visitors. A

family could easily spend a full day at the mall because it served as a type of community center where

individuals could not only buy for items but also socialize with others and attend cultural activities.

1. What are your shopping habits?

I’m a shopaholic but I don’t have a lot of money. I usually shop for my clothes at online shop. One

advantage of shopping online is that I can save time, I can still shop even without having to leave the

house. However, the drawbacks of shopping online are that you may be tricked. Particularly, you don’t

know whether the real quality is good or bad.

2. Do you think online shopping will replace small shops in the future? Why?

No, I don’t think so. Though alost all of us have an access to the Internet we still go to the shopping mals

and buy something.
