In the article this week, The Nickelodeon Brand: Buying and Selling The Audiences
by Sarah Banet-Weiser she touched a lot on how this TV network is very empowering to
children. The article begins with the “Declaration of Kid’s Rights” stating that
Nickelodeon “transforms a traditional adult form into something potent and meaningful
for kids. It uses language that doesn’t patronize kids, but empowers them.” As a child I
never really watched Nickelodeon shows. Of course there were a few I can remember
