Student Presentation – Group 4
What are the causes and consequences of underdevelopment?
Ever since 1945 there has been an increased number of Nongovernmental Organization
and individual advocacy in the support of ending poverty, underdevelopment, and hunger in the
world. There have also been some very monumental changes in the global economy as well as
overall global economic growth. There have of course been some countries that have been
having a difficult time keeping up with this global growth, and there are several involving factors
that contribute to what causes underdevelopment in these countries as well as several
consequences for these factors. The consequences for underdevelopment create a problem
through the nation’s citizens from wide-scale illiteracy, wage oppression, social injustice, and
several other consequences that affect their entire country as well as the global market.
