During curial times of war, the president of the United States has the utmost
responsibility to make decisions that will not only effect his relationship amongst other countries,
but his own country. The president has the power to declare the military decisions in response to
a war crisis (Waxman, 2014). It can be difficulty to decide the fate of the nation when there are
different groups with different ethics and values involved. The founder’s placed decisions
whether to engage in military hostilities in congress’s hand and mostly the president (Waxman,
2014). The Constitution created equal power amongst branches to avoid one group from
overpowering another. In times of war, the president will determine if or when America will
delegate into war and that decision will not be made my any other military braches (Deering,
1988). The military protocols differ than the expectations of Congress, thus creating a variety of
ethical viewpoints. This has challenged the idea if politics and ethics can coexist in such
