Political Socialization
I was born in Dallas on November 28, 1996. I just turned 20, and this was the first year I
participated in our Democracy, with this presidential election. I decided to vote republican this
time but I believe there are many different roles or influences that have shaped my decision. In
this essay I will touch on which specific influences I believe are the strongest and my political
identity.
The first role that had a major effect on how I voted were the influences of my parents.
