Electoral College
•One of the key reasons why founders chose to have electors is because in the
1700’s it took more than 7 days to get the votes to Washington, so having the
popular vote on one paper makes it easier and more up to date. This doesn’t really
make sense today because technology makes it much easier and faster to cast votes
and get the information to Washington.
•The electoral college disenfranchises some citizens by if you live in Puerto Rico,
Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and Mariana Islands you can’t vote, even though you are
a U.S. Citizen. Also if you live in one of the 50 states and move to one of the
territories you also can’t vote.
•If I were to change the electoral college, I would make the popular vote be worth
50% and the electoral college be worth 50%. I think if it was 50/50 people would
be more willing to vote. Then communities would be more involved.

•I think the wording of the second amendment is clear, but not specific. It makes it
known that the citizens can bare arms but it doesn’t say the limitations of that, like
the fact you need to register your gun.
