Police Badge Equals Free Pass?
It seems every day in the news, there is a story involving some sort of police misconduct;
shootings, rape, assault, DUI, domestic violence, and the list goes on. But yet it appears that most
of the officers involved walk away with no more punishment than a paid vacation. Ordinary
citizens are held to the law, while those who are paid to enforce that same law can literally get
away with murder. Police officers, who commit crimes, should not receive more lenient
treatment than those who are not in law enforcement.
