Introduction to Excel
• Quick Access toolbar
o Go to file, options, quick access toolbar, then add anyting
• Numbers go to the right and letters go to the left
• On the numbers tab go to the top left to change decimals
o Example makes 1.959 go to 1.96
• On the numbers tab if you change general to accounting ($ 2.00) or currency ($2.00)
• Whenever you change the format of a tab it will always stay changed until you go to the
top left and click clear all
Formulas
• Must use an = sign before any formula
o =c1 + b3
• You can manually type in the name of a tab (A3) or you can click on the actual tab
• You must use formulas of the same type (554 + blue)
