Plant Visit Reaction Paper
A plant visit was conducted by the first year Chemical Engineering students of
Mapúa University last January 22, 2020. The CH100-B12 students have gone in two
places, the plant of Philippine Water Inc. which is the producer of Nature’s Spring
bottled water, and the beverage most people love, Coca-Cola, it was both located in
Pampanga.
In the first tour, we first visited the Nature’s Spring factory. It was shown to us
how the water was packaged and what materials they used to create the bottles. The
manufacturing site was pretty loud so the speaker was a little but inaudible to the people
who were in the back. Nevertheless, I had a fun experience on the plant. The next
destination is the factory of Coca-Cola, they are very strict in terms of entry, and
everything should be clean. They have discussed how they process the waste water.
They also showed it to us how it was processed, the smell of the water is awful but it is
cool to see that the water can be clean again and it is capable of sustaining life.
