Place of worship
Every religion whether it is Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Judaism, or Hinduism, there is
a sacred place for the followers of their religion for worship. A place of worship is a building or
another place where people gather to honor and praise. Some religions focus on communal
worship such as Christians, Judaism, and Islam. Buddhism focus on individual worship and
Hinduism can do both individually and collective. Christians go to church, Jews go to
synagogues, Buddhist go to temples or shrines, Hindus go to temples or mandir and Islamic
people also known as Muslims scared space to worship is mosque or Masjid. These places of
worship are sacred space that is important to their own religion.
Christians sacred space to worship is known as a church. Christians come to church to
gather, pray and obey the Lord. Coming to church to pray let Christians gain internal satisfaction
and inspiration. When entering a Church, the first thing a person sees is the cross, which
represents the crucifixion, the resurrection and the redemption of humanity (Brenner). In
Catholic churches, there are many pictures and idols, they are not used for worship in any way
because that would-be idolatry and that is not what these idols, such as statues and pictures are
used for. They are used for showing the stories of Jesus life and to the honor him and Mary, the
mother of Jesus (Why do..). On every corner of the world, there is a church present, regardless of
the different type of denominations. Bishops or pastors lead the prayers and conduct all the

ceremonies in a church. Without the bishop or pastor, an official activity cannot take place
without them present. Going to church is a routine for many Christians, where some visit on
Sundays since there are special prayers on Sunday. Many Christians visit the churches often in
their routine especially going on Sundays, since there are special prayers on Sundays.
The Masjids or Mosques are worship places for Muslims, which is the Islamic faith. It is
where Muslims directly pray to “Allah.” Muslims are supposed to go to the mosque five times a
day for prayers. The timing of prayer is set accordingly to the movement of the sun. Each prayer
is led by the head of the Mosque. There are three prayers in the day and two prayers after that
among which, one is on the sunset and the other one is at night known as “Isha Prayer” (5
Muslim). According to Islam, the whole world is considered as a Masjid, except for bathrooms
and graveyards (Chhoni). So, Muslims can pray almost anywhere if they are facing the direction
