Promotion
As part of the marketing mix, promotion involves communicating to the customer about
the specific product, including its benefits and features. Once a company has created the
product and established its price elements, it’s time to start promoting, which entails starting a
conversation with the intended consumers about the product. This includes raising awareness
through different platforms to increase sales, as well as creating brand loyalty.
Promotion is the communication phase of the marketing mix. Through promotion,
companies build awareness, create interest, provide information, stimulate demand,
differentiate the product from competitors, and reinforce the brand.
All promotional activity is designed with a specific target audience in mind. Companies
tend to use methods that make up a promotional mix to effectively communicate to the
intended audience. The promotional mix includes advertising, public relations, sponsorship,
personal selling, direct marketing, and sales promotion. When identifying a promotional mix, it
is important to recognize the target audience and cater to their needs, whether it be print or
media marketing, age, gender, and price. You also have to establish the market you are selling
in, the marketing goals, and the budget that is available.
There are many advantages of having promotions and the promotional mix in
marketing. A successful product, brand, or service means nothing to its audience unless the
benefits of the company can be communicated clearly to the target market.
Place
The last element in the marketing mix is place, or more commonly known as placement
or distribution. Place is the process of moving the goods created from the producer to the
intended consumer. Specifically, it is how the product is purchased, and where it is purchased.
the right quantities.
