Abstract:
In this lab, we measure the centripetal force acting upon a hanging plumb bob attached to
a spring. We were able to measure this through the equation 𝑎 = 𝑚𝑣2
𝑅 where R was calculated by
the direct change of the radius, mass, which is also directly calculated, and velocity, which is
calculated through finding the frequency of rotation.
