On March 2, 2010, I fell and broke my clavicle. After a couple of weeks of being in a sling
and a shoulder brace, I had to have physical therapy to strengthen my arm. I had lost a lot
of muscle strength, that at the moment, I did not even know that I lost. I tried to lift my
arm up over my head and I was not successful. The doctor prescribed me to have physical
therapy two times a week for four weeks. By doing this I knew what I wanted to do with
the rest of my life. The ladies at the clinic made my experience so warming and explained
everything to me. It was amazing to see in person the progress that I made each week
going to therapy. I decided that from then on I will do my best to succeed and become a
physical therapist like them. I knew that I wanted to be in the health field but, before that
experience I did not know exactly what I wanted to do.
In the beginning I was coming in earlier and staying longer than my appointment so that I
could see the physical therapist with different clients and their different therapies. I think
that it is amazing how much they believe in you and push you to your goal before leaving
them. They had so much patience for every client that came to them needing therapy. They
knew what to say and to do to motivate their clients to get better. As being one of their
