Phishing: A Life challenge
Phishing is a scheme designed to take from a consumer or business to increase the assets
of another! It is an act of stealing assets! Phishing is also defined as a technology based scheme,
designed to secure personal information, such as, personal identification numbers, or other
valuable information, by persons masquerading as credible individuals to fool consumers or
businesses to provide information to commit fraud. The information is sought so that the
perpetrator can realize material gains at the victim’s expense (Wright and Marett, 2010).
Phishing is also be the introduction of spyware, malicious software and malware in order to steal
the identity of others, or other important data. As new technology emerges perpetrators to think
of ways to steal for their own gain, commit fraud, while leaving the consumer with little or
