1. State in your own words the issue about which Socrates and Euthyphro are in
disagreement.
The reason why Socrates &Euthyphro are in a disagreement is basically over the definition of
religiousness. Euthyphro acting snobby and arrogant and being very confident in his abilities
can’t answer Socrates’ many questions about religiousness, what is pieous, what makes
something pieous, and so on.
2. List some of the definitions of “piety” or “holiness” that Euthyphro gives.
One of the definitions for “Holiness” Euthyphro gives is what pleases the gods. Or that
“Holy” is doing what is doing now starting a trail in court against his father because it’s the law.
He believes killing someone is wrong no matter who committed it.
3. What are Socrates’ objections to these definitions?
That the god’s my view something’s differently as he and Euthyphro do. This way making
holy to one god, unholy to another. He then asks what is truly holy to all.
4. Euthyphro obviously believe he was doing the right things. Would you have done
