Philosophical Statement
My beliefs have been changing over the past years. Nevertheless, my goal is to challenge
my students, to guide them to their full potential, to take my students to altered stages as stipulated
by the pillars of learning, learning to be, learning to do and learning to live together. Teacher’s
Philosophy should endlessly be sprouting and endlessly educating students. As a teacher I should
educate myself with new development in teaching which would help me to facilitate learning in
my classroom. The role of the teacher is to guide that curiosity towards new knowledge. To do
this, the teacher must be able to combine the real world with the required content of the curriculum.
Students need to have personal meaning for what they are exploring to support problem-based
learning. By making the materials meaningful, the learning will be more concrete and important
to the students. (Johnson, Musial,Hall, &Gollnick, 2011)
