1. Epictetus’ view of nature is!learning to apply natural preconceptions to particular
cases in accordance with nature. It is a rational system because it makes you think
before doing whilst also having an understanding. I believe he would agree because in
life everything changes and you must go on with what is ahead. The stoic view is that
everything around us operates between cause and effect.
2. Epictetus’ view of the virtues, such as temperance is that you are seeing the world as
it is while pursuing self improvement. It helps us achieve inner calm or apatheia
because it allows us to understand situations and allows our minds to redirect and
escape angry or frustration. I believe that Aristotle may agree with the stoic view of
virtue because he believed that you must behave in the right manor whilst the stoic
view of virtue is broken down into 4 categories that all circle around behavior.
3. There was a time where my struggle with anxiety and inner unrest was almost too
much to handle. During the lockdown of 2020 I was all alone. My parents were stuck in
Mexico my brothers where stuck in Vegas and nobody left there houses. I had nothing
