1. The steps of Elenchus are rather simple. Step 1- ask a person what they think X is, where is X is
often some Abstract concepts like beauty, justice, etc. Step 2- use questions to get that person
to that they are problems with their view. Step 3- the person revises their view and tries again.
Step 4- do step 2 again and repeat. This method had a huge role in Socrates’ life as a
philosopher because as he was told nobody is wiser than Socrates so this was a true Myth buster
and he used this to “help” the community.
2. He disagreed with Thales view because the one can’t be something so specific it has to be
nonspecific so could bring out the specify of the many.
3. Plato’s concept of justice was, justice is the quality of individual, the individual mind. It can be
understood by studying the mind of man, its functions, qualities, or virtues. Virtue to Plato means
that happiness or well-being is the highest aim of moral thought and conduct. Virtue is important
