1. Aristotle thinks that this cannot be the ultimate good in life because he is
aware that people have different opinions on what the ultimate good in life is,
he speaks about the opinions on the many and the whys. He also believes that
pleasure is a part of the good life but it is not the whole of it. As human beings,
our function of nature is to use our brains, and the best thing to do is be
rational to fulfill our needs.
2. The function of a human being to Aristotle is that we are required to do the
same as a plant to be function properly he states that “we need to grow”.
Aristotle understands our functions by believing that we are “the rational
animal” and we have different requirements to function properly.
3. Courage is understood as a middle point because cowardes are the lowest of
courage to add recklessness which is an excess of courage that disallows us to
function in the middle of virtue. Courage is the right spot to be as a human
because it allows us to access everything before doing and making a harmful
decision. For example, if a phone company is promoting a new phone and you
want it but don’t need it you will access the decision before making it and
realize what is best for you. The same goes for if someone is being robbed it
would be the right thing to do to help them yet it matters how you will help
