Maya Angelou, the protagonist character of the story “Phenomenal Woman”, is my chosen
character to analyse and illustrate the reading. She’s referring to a nebulous “secret” about herself
that even conventionally gorgeous ladies find difficult to comprehend. She says that she does not
resemble the models lauded by the fashion world, and that as she begins to divulge her secret, the
