The False Face of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
Like many special interest groups that concern themselves with animal welfare, the
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) garnered supporters from all over the globe
with their outcries of livestock abuse in the food industry, liberation of animals used for chemical
testing, and the care of neglected pets in their shelters. Little do most people know that this so
called animal welfare organization is actually thriving for animal liberation. PETA is an
organization that made the unethical decision to trick its supporters into believing they were
supporting animal welfare instead of the radical idea of animal liberation. On the outside, PETA
has made some strides in animal welfare, but in the last 10 years PETA has had many unethical
