Working Environment’s Differences between Japan and the U.S.
I. Introduction
A. Attention Getter: Have you ever thought about working in the foreign company? As you know,
each country has different cultural, social, and religious differences, and these factors affect the
working environment in a company. In Japan, job environment in working place is so different
compared to the U.S. What you have learned about business experience might not work in Japan.
Since my future career is to work at an international company, I would like to tell you the problems
of working in Japan and the solution for them.
B. Listener Relevance: In the U.S., you have to show your confidence to your co-workers and
customers. You might think shaking a hand is necessary to appeal your confidence to others in the
business. But, it is not required to do it in Japan.
