BC Nursing Program Improvements Proposal
Project Summary:
Nursing is a growing profession, and I am proposing that Bellevue College make some
improvements to its nursing program. This will help Bellevue College compete with the
nursing programs of other colleges, as well as create more opportunities for prospective
nursing students at BC. The ideas I am suggesting are to expand the admissions to the
nursing program to allow quarterly admission of students, as well as offer entrance into a
Bachelor’s of Science in nursing program. I am a pre-nursing student and have looked up
many nursing programs across Washington, and these changes will help BC to compete
with other nursing programs. Other colleges in Washington are already offering quarterly
admissions, and most universities offer a Baccalaureate degree for nursing students. I
would like to request funding to be able to research this project and work out the details
of it.
