Persuasive Essay
I believe I am very good at persuading people into doing things. Every time I find myself
in the act of persuading, I state the person with facts and specific details that draw their
attention into doing the act. Of course, I would never persuade someone into doing a bad
deed or favor.
For instance, I can remember a time back in Austin, I was at my local gym (where I
worked) influencing a group of customers that wanted to better themselves by joining the
gym. I brought to their attention using emotional appeal the positive effects that they will
receive by adding daily exercises to their everyday lives.
Due to the high amount of propaganda that was introduced in the act of persuasion, the
group was convinced it was a smart idea to sign up for the gym membership. With more
practice through trial and error, my persuasive skills were improved, and thus,
persuading customers into signing up, became easier.
Although, since even before my career working at Planet fitness, I had always been very
biased on people not wanting to work out and better themselves. Not only for physical
appearance, but for their overall health. So trying my best to persuade customers, all ways
was key goal even before coming in the picture. I have good principals in life, therefore,
I’d love to improve my persuasive skills even more to help others draw better meanings
into their lives.
