The topic of the video that I watched was called, “Mellody Hobson: Color blind or color
brave?” I found it on Ted.com. The speaker of the oral presentation was Mellody Hobson who is
the president of Ariel Investments. She is trying to persuade people to be color brave. It’s a way
to fight racism.
Mellody is credibility and establishes it by giving expertise support for what she is asking
of you, and also giving you her personal story on why she is asking it as well. She is credible
because of her history of sound judgment and that she has proven herself knowledge on the topic
at hand. She shows that with her high credibility over time that she also possess goodwill, by
being trusted to listen and to work in the best interest of others.
