How do you define personality? During my research, I came across several definitions.
Some were professional and some not so professional. The one I like best is “it’s what makes
you you. It encompasses all the traits, characteristics, and quirks that set you apart from
everyone else” (Positive Psychology Articles, 2017, para. 5). According to Robbins, De Cenzo,
& Coulter (2017), “motivation refers to the process by which a person’s efforts are energized,
directed and sustained toward attaining a goal.” Therefore, “motivation has three key elements:
energy, direction, and persistence” (Robbins, et al. 2017). Knowing how one’s personality can
affect their motivation could be a determining factor in whether that person gets a certain job,
wins an award or receives the recognition they believe they deserve. It is therefore vital to
