Personal profile traits not only affect our personal lives, but our social and professional lives. Many
people are comfortable with exploring their strong personal traits, but they sometimes fail to realize
that being aware of their weak personal profile traits are important as well. I will take an inventory of
my personal profile traits and discuss the strongest and weakest traits that I possess.
I believe that confidence is one of my strongest personal profile traits is confidence. In this class,
confidence is defined as a trait belonging to someone who is poised, friendly, honest to all, and yet can
keep a secret. I think that this trait applies to me because I am kind and fair to everyone. I don’t judge
people by how someone else feels or by what they say about them. I am usually the person that my
friends and family confide in. By being consistent in my interactions with different people, they know
that I don’t discuss anyone else’s personal information with others, so they have confidence in me to
not repeat what they tell me to others.
I befriended a divorced woman with kids at my church. She became pregnant and she stopped
coming to church. Some of the other church members who I had close relationships with knew that I
had a close relationship with her. They were so curious about what was going on in this mother’s life
that they would outright ask me personal questions about her, even if we were in a space with lots of
other people. They would ask if I knew who the dad was or if she knew who the dad was. I would always
tell them that they would have to ask her. I noticed that these same people would often tell me about
others personal issues. Usually if someone can freely talk about everyone else to you, they are
untrustworthy.
