Personal identity in a group
Introduction
As a member of the group name “Free Accounting”, I am working together with the
other members to provide free accounting services to some small business, such as
some retail stores and some non-profit organizations. The main reason for joining into
this group is that I am majoring in business management and the properties of this
group is next to my major which will give me chance to connect with some
businessman. Such experience will be beneficial for my future career life if I am
asked to manage a business independently.
In this paper, some significant aspects in relation to identify personality in a group
will be discussed, including how to realize membership, how to resolve the social
stereotypes of being a member of such a group, how to overcome the conflicts
between two different groups, and how to treat the conditions for entering into a new
unfamiliar group. Those special questions in relation to the membership in this group
will also be explained.
Discussion
The “Free Accounting” is a group organized by some retried accountants which is
providing free helps to those businesses which are needing helps, such as some small
retail stores who wants to review their financial performance, and those non-profit

organizations who want to predict the future strategies. As a free group, all member in
this group are working with no payments. This group is an informal organization
because there are no restrict rules that all these members should follow. At the same
time, not all members are asked to take participate into the activities organized by the
leader every time. It is all depending on their own spare time and their intentions. This
group is classified in term of communities because the service respondents are all
those businesses around the community. This is because that the leaders of the
organization are all living in the same community, which is convenient for them to
provide services to the businesses in the community.
In this group, there are several different teams because not all members are familiar
