Personal Ethics Code
In order to understand who you are as a person, you need to know your personal code of
ethics. What are the principles that ultimately shape and make you, who you are? To some it may
be a hard question to answer, as it was to me before. You have to start by describing yourself and
the morals you go by. In my opinion I believe that your professional code of ethics is derived
from your personal code of ethics. Therefore, it is important to comprehend your ethics on a
personal level as it will impact your professional life. The ongoing controversies between right
and wrong concepts are a representation for your personal code of ethics. Each individual was
raised and has experienced different things, which creates their perception of right over wrong.
With all the beliefs, morals, and traditions that vary it is complex to set one humane ethical code.
The key is to establish a personal code that is also acceptable with those around you. Society is
