Personal Statement
As a twenty-one-year-old young adult I have been through a few challenges in my life
including leaving college for almost two year to just work and get a “better” life or at least that
what I was thinking in that moment. After what I like to call my sabbatical time pass, I realized
that being working at a retailer store more than forty hours a week is not the way that I wanted to
spend my life on. That wasn’t the business woman that I used to think I would be at any point of
my life. It was then when I decided to come back to college and finish my degree on accounting
(which is what I love), but for my surprise, because I started in Puerto Rico, now I had to start
from zero here in Miami if I wanted to get that degree. Its hard thinking that you already have a
