Dear Journal,
We made it through this last week, without giving it to our yearning for all
things sweet! What a tough project it has been. I think the physical, mental craving for
it would have been hard enough not to give into without all the personal stuff that has
been going on all semester, but I did it anyway, with your help, looking over my
shoulder at all times.
I don’t plan to celebrate by going out for dinner with a fine dessert, at least. I
haven’t even planned to do anything to celebrate. That’s kind of sad, isn’t it? What
