People choose to nurse as a career for many reasons, mostly because of family influence,
and work opportunities. However, nursing is not for everyone. It requires hard work,
determination, compassion, organization, patience, being a good communicator, and being a
quick thinker. Nursing is truly inspiring and thoroughly rewarding career. My first experience
was when my grandpa was in the hospital for an aneurysm. I noticed how the nurses cared for
him with a great deal of warm compassion and it was not just about their job it was from their
heart that is what made it so special. I was defiantly inspired by some wonderful and caring
nurses. That is when I decided that the nursing profession was for me. My first role in healthcare
was working as a candy striper, then as a CNA for over twenty-two years, and then as a caregiver
