The Company PN is produced premium sports recovery drinks which is made of natural fruits and contain
protein, vitamins, and minerals. The juice is available in two size of bottle as 20-ounce and 12-ounce. The
company has one bottling and production line. Each flavor required 8-hours in which most of time is
related to cleaning of equipment so that new flavor taste is not mix with old one. The production line
produces 12-ounce of juice on Tuesday and Wednesday and 20-ounce of bottle is produced on Thursday
and Friday.
The company PN offers discounts at the end of quarter on above specific quantity ordered. By this
discounts, the sales of company increased four to five times. And it often mismatches the supply and
demand of particular flavor of juice.
Supply Chain Management: It is the approach which includes all the activities related to supplying of
goods and products to the end user customers. It consists of suppliers, distribution centers, wholesalers,
retailers, and consumers.
The company PN purchased bottle and labels from suppliers with maintained four week inventory for
bottle and three week inventory for labels. Thus, there is no indication related to supply issues. The
company is maintained its inventory which are purchased from outside suppliers.
The main issue with company PN is related to communication with its customers. As mentioned in the
case, the company is purchasing orders and receives from the customers and company sends the products
and invoices to them. The company has sufficient production capacity to fulfill the demands of customers
but the company should make better communications with its customers so that the appropriate needs
